Two fine, funny, and sharp (music-) writerly friends have recently debuted their own blogs:
Steve Smith's aptly named Night After Night, chronicling his "conspicuous consumption of music, live and otherwise, in New York City," and;
Marc Geelhoed's Deceptively Simple, reminding us that--as Marc often enjoys pointing out to me personally--musical events of note happen in Chicago, too. ETA: I didn't mean to be snarky, Chicagoans; that last bit was a (probably unsuccessful) attempt to poke fun at my own New York City-centered myopia. No harm, no foul?
